Glen Grant is a distillery founded in 1840 in Rothes, Speyside, that produces single malt Scotch whisky. Previously owned by Chivas Brothers Ltd, best known for their Chivas Regal blended scotch whisky, Glen Grant was purchased by the Italian company Campari Group in December 2005.

The Glen Grant distillery is located at the northern end of the village of Rothes, in the centre of the Malt Whisky Trail. When he founded the distillery in the 1840s, James Grant celebrated the importance of the site’s water source by constructing a sprawling Victorian garden. The garden was recently restored, and now makes for a wonderful day out.Set amongst beautiful gardens, the distillery was founded in 1840 by two brothers – James and John Grant.

With the River Spey and the Moray Firth close by, as well as malt producing farms, Rothes was the perfect location for the Grant brothers. Today, Glen Grant is one of the world’s best selling whiskies, enjoyed across the globe. The distilleries standards are maintained by master distillery Denis Malcolm, who has worked at Glen Grant for over 50 years.
